Blue city leaders are expressing concern over the surge of migrants coming from Biden’s broken border, fearing a “nightmare winter.” However, the focus of Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) appears to be more on using preferred pronouns for illegal immigrants, according to a new CBP memo. The memo orders Border Patrol agents not to use he, him, she, or her pronouns until they have more information provided by the individual.
Former Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf joins the conversation, stating that instead of prioritizing the crisis at the border, the Biden administration seems more concerned with defining and describing the situation rather than taking action to stop it. Border Patrol agents are dedicated to apprehending individuals, including dangerous ones, crossing the border illegally. They want to end the crisis, but the Biden administration doesn’t appear interested in that.
Going beyond the surface level talking points, there are hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants living in cities across the country. In 2020, it was reported that more than 100,000 illegal migrants reside in Charlotte and Austin, while Boston and Philly have more than 200,000. New York City, with 130,000 illegal migrants, has allegedly been severely impacted by this influx of individuals. New York City Mayor Eric Adams emphasizes the need for meaningful financial help and a national decompression strategy, stating that the federal government needs to finish the job they started.
Secretary Wolf acknowledges that this is indeed a federal government responsibility, and the Biden administration is failing to appropriately manage the crisis. They are not providing sufficient resources to cities like New York City or any other big or small city along the border. Instead of allocating more taxpayer dollars to house and feed migrants, the focus should be on stopping the fraud and illegal entry into the United States by enforcing immigration law. However, the Biden administration does not seem interested in that approach. They have been more focused on acquiring more funding from Congress to support their flawed policies.
In conclusion, it appears that Democrats have achieved what they wanted, but they are now dissatisfied with the consequences.
